In this blog, we will explain the ability for admins to impersonate a user directly from the Members Page. This functionality empowers course administrators and instructors to view the platform exactly as a learner would, providing valuable insights into their experience.
How to Use the Impersonate User Feature?
Follow these simple steps to start using the feature:
Step 1: Navigate to the Members Page
Log into your Teachfloor admin account and head to the Members Page. This is where you can view a list of all users enrolled in your course.
Step 2: Select a Learner
From the list of members, locate the learner whose perspective you want to explore. You can use the search bar to quickly find a specific user.
Step 3: Click “Impersonate User”
Once you’ve identified the learner, click on the action menu (usually represented by three dots or a dropdown arrow) next to their name. Select the “Impersonate User” option.
Step 4: Explore the Learner's View
After selecting the impersonation option, you will be redirected to the learner’s view. From here, you can:
Access their enrolled courses.
Interact with course materials.
Test the functionality of quizzes, assignments, or discussions.
Identify any navigation or usability issues they might encounter.
Step 5: Exit Impersonation Mode
When you’re ready to return to your admin view, simply click the “Exit Impersonation” button, usually found at the top of the screen. This will return you to your default admin dashboard.
