In this guide, we will explore the Tag Filters & Management feature on the Progress Page. This enhancement revolutionizes the way instructors manage and track learner progress by introducing powerful tag-based functionality. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you make the most of this feature.

What is the Tag Filters & Management Feature?

This feature allows instructors to:

  • View Tags at a Glance: Easily identify tags associated with learners, such as skill levels, groups, or custom attributes.

  • Filter Learners by Tags: Focus on specific subsets of learners based on their tags.

  • Manage Tags Efficiently: Create, edit, and assign tags directly from the Progress Page.

How to Use the Tag Filters & Management Feature?

Follow these steps to start using the feature:

Step 1: Navigate to the Progress Page

Log into your Teachfloor instructor account and access the Progress Page for your course. This is where you can monitor and track learner progress in detail.

Step 2: View the Tag Column

In the progress table, you’ll notice a new Tag Column. Here, you can see tags associated with each learner, such as their skill level, group, or any custom tags you’ve created.

Step 3: Use the Tag Filter

  • Locate the Tag Filter option on the Progress Page.

  • Select one or more tags from the dropdown menu to narrow down the list of learners.

  • The table will automatically update to display only those learners with the selected tags.

This functionality is especially useful for:

  • Monitoring the progress of learners in specific groups.

  • Tracking individuals based on skill levels or performance attributes.

Step 4: Create, Edit, and Assign Tags

  • Create Tags: Click on the “Add Tag” button to create new tags that fit your organizational needs.

  • Edit Tags: Select an existing tag to rename or modify its attributes.

  • Assign Tags: Click on a learner’s tag field in the progress table to add or change their tags directly.
