Welcome to the guide for group feedback reflection!

If you have created a simple feedback reflection element, then, the group feedback reflection element is not a big deal, as both are alike.

Let's dive into how to create the element, but before that let me first give you a quick overview of the difference between simple feedback reflection and group feedback reflection.

Difference between feedback reflection and group feedback reflection

As you can see from the name, feedback reflection is when an individual thinks about and applies feedback to improve their learning, making it a personal and self-driven process. Group feedback reflection, on the other hand, involves discussing feedback collectively, allowing learners to share insights, clarify misunderstandings, and support each other’s growth through collaboration.

How to create a Group Feedback Reflection?

When you visit the course's Curriculum page, you want to add a Feedback Reflection. Click on the edit button. you will see a (+) Add Element.

Click on (+) Add Element on the left side of the screen. Now, you will see a list of elements. Scroll down, and in the assessment section, click the Group Feedback Reflection.

(See GIF below)

After going through the common settings of the feedback reflection, we are ready to hop on to the next part.

Set a Source for the group feedback reflection

You can also decide that the feedback reflection should be linked to an earlier submission and peer review component of the course.

Group Feedback Reflection Settings

Now, coming to the main settings of Feedback reflection:

i. Reflection Questions

You can enable/disable the reflection questions. Learners will reflect on their feedback and answer them, or make them watch their review, which will also complete the module.

(See screenshot below)

If you have decided to add the questions, you will see an Edit Questions button, clicking it will open a window of questions interface where you can add questions.

(See screenshot below)

There are five different types of questions you can add:

  1. Open Questions - learners will write the answers in text form

  2. Numeric Rating - learners will review the by choosing a number

  3. Text Scale - learners will have multiple choices to choose from

  4. Yes/No - learners will answer yes or no.

  5. Information Section - learners will have an info guide for self-review

(See screenshot below)

ii. Anonymous

When you turn on this feature, it hides the names of the learners interacting together, so they can't see each other's names. This makes things more private and safe for everyone involved.

ii. Deadline

Here, you can set the deadline for the Feedback reflection assessment.

iii. Reminders

Following that, you set three different reminders for your learners to complete the assessment before the time.

From Learners Account

Learners will see a Start Now button, and by clicking it, the feedback reflection window will open with the feedback being shown at the front, and questions at the right side, Learners will answer the questions.
