The Learner Progress Drawer allows instructors and administrators to access detailed information about each learner’s activity, progress, and account details — all in one place.
This tool helps you monitor learner performance, review their course history, and check their recent actions using the new Logs tab.
1. How to Access the Learner Progress Drawer
You can open the Learner Progress Drawer from multiple sections of your Teachfloor dashboard:
Learners Page – review learner data directly from the main list.
Course Members Tab – open learner details within a specific course.
Course Progress Tab – track completion and performance by learner.
To access it:
Go to the Learners or Course Members page.
Click on the learner’s name.
The Learner Progress Drawer will open on the right side of the screen.
2. Overview of the Drawer
The drawer contains three main tabs: Courses, Custom Fields, and Notes.
Each tab provides specific information about the learner.
Courses Tab
Displays all the courses the learner is enrolled in.
For each course, you can view:
Course name and status
Completion rate
Score and quiz average
Start and completion dates
Click on a course to expand the full curriculum and review completion for each activity.
Custom Fields Tab
If your organization uses custom fields, this section shows any data collected during signup or enrollment.
Examples include department, role, or location — useful for tracking learner demographics or group assignments.
Notes Tab
Add private instructor notes or view shared notes created by other team members.
This tab can be used for:
Instructor observations
Follow-up reminders
Coordination between teaching staff
3. Learner Logs
The Logs tab inside the drawer provides a detailed record of every key learner activity.
It helps you verify events, understand learner engagement, and troubleshoot issues.
Each log entry includes:
Action type (e.g., course joined, activity completed)
Timestamp
Course or activity name (when applicable)
You can use the search bar to filter specific actions or time periods.
Typical actions visible in logs include:
When the learner joined a course
When they started or completed an activity
When a certificate was issued
Login and logout events
4. Quick Actions
At the top of the drawer, you can perform quick actions related to the learner:
Send an email directly.
Send a message via Teachfloor chat.
Impersonate the learner to preview their course view.
These options simplify communication and follow-up management.
5. Best Practices
Use the Logs tab to confirm completion and progress for support requests.
Keep important remarks in the Notes tab for team visibility.
Regularly review the Courses Tab to monitor learner performance across programs.
Summary
