Install any app from the Teachfloor App Marketplace in a few clicks: browse or search, review what it does and the permissions it needs, then approve and go.

Installing an app adds its functionality to your Teachfloor academy in a few clicks. You can browse everything available on the Teachfloor App Marketplace, pick what you need, and have it running in minutes. This guide walks you through it.

Before you start: you need admin or owner permissions on your academy to install and manage apps.

Find an app

Step #1 Open the Marketplace. Go to the Teachfloor App Marketplace, or open the Apps area from your Teachfloor dashboard.

Step #2 Browse or search. Use the categories on the left to explore, or type in the search bar to find an app by name. Click any app to open its page.

Step #3 Review the app. On the app page you can see what it does, who built it, which parts of Teachfloor it works with, and the permissions it requests. Take a moment to check these before installing.

Install it

Step #4 Click Install. On the app page, click the Install button. You will be taken to your Teachfloor dashboard to complete the setup.

Step #5 Review and approve permissions. Each app declares exactly what data and actions it needs, for example "read courses" or "read and write members". Review the list and confirm to grant access. You can revoke these at any time later.

Step #6 Confirm. Once approved, the app is installed and ready to use. 🎉

Choose how the app appears

Depending on the app, you can decide how it shows up:

  • As a drawer. Open the app from the app dock and it slides in as a panel on the right. Great for focused tools you open when you need them.

  • As a widget. Add the app directly into your dashboard as an always-visible widget, right next to your native panels. To do this, edit your dashboard layout, choose an empty widget slot, and pick the app from the list.

Not every app supports both. The app page tells you where it can appear.

Manage or remove an app

You can configure, update, or uninstall apps at any time from the Apps area of your dashboard.
