Teachfloor supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing you to securely connect your Teachfloor organization to compatible AI tools such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and other MCP-compatible applications.
Once connected, your AI tool can access the Teachfloor MCP tools and interact with your organization based on the permissions granted during authorization.
Requirements
Before setting up the connection, make sure that:
Your Teachfloor subscription includes both the MCP and Public API features.
Your Teachfloor account has the Owner or Admin role in the organization you want to connect.
Your AI application supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) with OAuth 2.0 authentication.
How to Connect Teachfloor via MCP
1. Open Your AI Tool
Open the MCP-compatible AI application you want to connect to Teachfloor, such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Windsurf.
2. Open the MCP Settings
Navigate to the section where MCP servers or external connectors can be configured.
Depending on the application, this is usually available under:
Settings > Connectors
or
Settings > MCP
The exact location may vary depending on the AI tool you are using.
3. Add the Teachfloor MCP Server
Select the option to add a new remote MCP server.
Copy the Teachfloor MCP Server URL provided in your Teachfloor account and paste it into the server URL field of your AI application.
4. Connect to Teachfloor
Click Connect.
Your browser will automatically open the Teachfloor authorization page.
5. Authorize Your Organization
Sign in to your Teachfloor account if you are not already logged in.
Select the Teachfloor organization you want your AI tool to access, then click Authorize.
This grants the AI application permission to use the available Teachfloor MCP tools for the selected organization.
6. Return to Your AI Tool
Once authorization is complete, return to your AI application.
The Teachfloor MCP connection should now appear as active, and the available Teachfloor tools will be accessible directly from your AI assistant.
Managing Access
The MCP connection is associated with the Teachfloor organization you selected during the authorization process.
If you manage multiple organizations, make sure you select the correct organization when authorizing the connection.
For security reasons, MCP access is only available to users with the Owner or Admin role.
Troubleshooting
If you are unable to connect Teachfloor to your AI tool, check that:
Your Teachfloor plan includes MCP and Public API access.
You have an Owner or Admin role.
Your AI application supports remote MCP servers.
Your AI application supports OAuth 2.0 authentication for MCP connections.
You copied the complete Teachfloor MCP Server URL.
