Use case examples:
Sharing PDF guides, worksheets, or eBooks
Embedding pre-recorded video lessons

Different settings in the content element
Settings of content element is divided into four major portions:
1. General Settings
(See screenshot below)
Setting | Purpose |
Cover Image | Upload an image (800x200px, max 2MB) to visually represent your content block. Ideal for branding or context clues. |
Name | Give your content a descriptive title (e.g., āIntro to Growth Marketingā or āDownloadable Templatesā). |
Description | Summarize what this content includes and any context learners need. You can use rich formatting, links, and embed images. |
Resources | Add attachments (up to 5MB per file) that learners can downloadādocuments, spreadsheets, videos, etc. |
Display Description on Top | Enable this toggle to make the Description and Resources visible before the content begins. Useful for setting expectations. |
2. Requirements Settings
(See screenshot below)
This section allows you to lock content behind prerequisite activities.
How it works:
Click the dropdown labeled āRequirementsā
Select one or more prior lessons or tasks that learners must complete before accessing this content
You can choose any previously created element
š This ensures learners follow a logical path and donāt skip ahead.
3. Visibility Settings
(See screenshot below)
Decide who can see this content.
By default, all learners will have access. But you can restrict access based on:
ā Manually Selected Learners ā handpick who can view it
š§āš¼ Roles ā e.g., limit visibility to instructors, TAs, or students
š·ļø Tags ā segment your learners using tags (like āPremiumā, āCohort Aā)
To enable this:
Click ā+ Add Ruleā
Choose from the available options
šÆ This feature is great for adaptive learning paths, special cohorts, or exclusive material.
4. METADATA (Optional)
(See screenshot below)
Metadata is used for internal tracking and organization.
Click āEdit Metadataā to add:
Keywords or tags
Category types
Notes for your team
This doesnāt affect what learners see but helps with content managementāespecially in courses with many modules.
š Learner Experience
Once published, hereās what your learners will see:
Cover image (if added)
Lesson title and description
List of downloadable resources
Embedded content (text, links, etc.)
At the bottom of the lesson, learners will see a āMark as Completedā button.
ā This button is essential for progression. If youāve gated future content with prerequisites, learners must click this to unlock the next step.
