This is a step-by-step guide for setting Survey element into your module or lesson.

This is a step-by-step guide for setting Survey element into your module or lesson.

Click on (+) Add Element on the left side of the screen. And click Survey.

Survey. Create a multiple questions survey. The survey activity is a smart way to get open, honest feedback that you probably wouldn't otherwise get. Giving learners the opportunity to share their opinions will help keep your course on the road to success. Steps below.

  • Name. Give a descriptive name to the quiz, maybe referring to the lesson’s the quiz is linked to or the topic covered.

  • Description.This space can be used to add details regarding the quiz and all the information the students might need previous to starting the quiz.

  • Resources.This space can be used to add details regarding the quiz and all the information the students might need previous to starting the quiz.

  • Pre-Requirements. What the students should be familiar with or need to have worked on before starting the quiz. Click on the pre-requirements dropdown and choose from your previous lessons or activities that you want to require. You may add multiple pre-requirement activities.

  • Advance Settings.

    • Deadline. If the quiz needs to be completed within a certain timeframe, the deadline can be set here.

    • Reminders. If the quiz needs to have reminders for the deadline, the reminders can be set here.

  • Questions. Write the questions and the multiple answers to the quiz here below.

    • Click on “Write Question Here.” to proceed.

    • Click on “Option” for the multiple choice answers.

    • You may click “Add New” to add more answer choices.

    • You may click “Add Question” to add more questions and follow the same steps in adding answer choices.

  • Click on Save Element.

Below is an example view for this newly built element. It displays the description, question(s), and answer choices.

Students must click Submit Responses once done answering the question.

Checking the results of responses.

There are two ways to check the results of the students responses. First is the aggregated results, second is the individual results.

For aggregate results of their responses to the survey question, click Curriculum, then click the Survey element you have created. The page will display the number of respondents and percentage of responses. See example below.

On the other hand, if you wish to see individual responses of the students, click Activities, click the Lesson where the survey question belong, then click the Survey element you have created. The page will display the name of all respondents, date of submission and their individual responses. See example below.
