Team members and roles

Learn about the roles and responsibilities of team members on Teachfloor, including Owners, Administrators, Instructors, and Assistants.

Welcome to our helpful guide on Team members!

There are 4 team members on Teachfloor. We will discuss about each team member and its role.

1. Owner

Owner is the one who buys the subscription plan having access to the account. It has following authorities;

  • Billing - Owner have access to the billing page of Teachfloor's plan. Owner can upgrade it or downgrade it.

  • Giving access to other team members - Owner can invite Admins, Instructors, and Assistants to the account.

  • Integration - Owner can integrate all the software to the Teachfloor account, such as Zoom, Slack, Stripe, Zapier, API, etc.

  • Whitelabelling - Owner also have access to all the whitelabelling features and customize the platform.

  • Language - Owner can change language of the platform.

  • Currency - Owner can change the currency of the platform.

  • Community - Owner can create, view and interact on each course's community.

  • Course creation - Owner can create the course, publish it, and invite students to it.

  • Course Analytics - Owner can view the analytics of each course

  • Assessments - Owner can assess the learners assignments and grade them.

  • Invite Students - Owner can invite the students to any course.

2. Administrator

Administrator have all the authorities as were with owner except the billing. Such as;

  • Giving access to other team members - Admin can invite other Admins, Instructors, and Assistants to the account.

  • Integration - Admin can integrate all the software to the Teachfloor account, such as Zoom, Slack, Stripe, Zapier, API, etc.

  • Whitelabelling - Admin also have access to all the whitelabelling features and customize the platform.

  • Language - Admin can change language of the platform.

  • Currency - Admin can change the currency of the platform.

  • Community - Admin can create, view and interact on each course's community.

  • Course creation - Admin can create the course, publish it, and invite students to it.

  • Course Analytics - Admin can view the analytics of each course

  • Assessments - Admin can assess the learners assignments and grade them.

  • Invite Students - Admin can invite the students to any course

Limitations

  • Not have access to billing

3. Instructor

Instructor are assigned to each course. It only have access to the course it is assigned. . Such as;

  • Giving access to other team members - Instructor can only invite assistant to the course he is invited.

  • Edit the course - Instructor can edit the course

  • Course Analytics - Instructor can view only the analytics of the course assigned to it.

  • Community - Instructor only have access to his own course community, and interact on the discussion board, and 1-to-1 with learners as well.

  • Assessments - Instructor can assess the learners assignments and grade them.

  • Invite Students - Instructor can invite the students to course he's assigned.

Limitations

  • Not have access to Whitelabelling, Billing, Integrations, Currency, Turning off the community, Creating a new course.

4. Assistant

Assistant can only be assigned the course, and the team member with least authorities.

  • Assessments - Assistant can assess the learners assignments and grade them.

  • Community - Assistant can only interact with the learners assigned to it.

  • Learners Analytics - Instructor can only view the progress of the leaners assigned to it.

Limitations

  • Not have access to editing the course, Creating a new course, Whitelabelling, Billing, Integrations, Currency, Turning off the community, or invite any other team member or learners.
