Welcome to the in-depth guide on the Progress Page.
What is a progress page?
The progress page is like a report card for your learners. It provides a snapshot of each learner's performance, showing whether they attend classes, complete assignments, and do well in the course. This page helps instructors and students track progress and identify areas needing more focus or support.
This is what the progress page looks like;
Where is the progress page?
There is a dedicated progress page for each course. When you open a course, you will see a progress page tab along the sub-header. As you can see below,
(see the screenshot below)
Understanding the Legend of Progress page
Legends are the terms that you will use to fill the progress page. So, let's understand what it means.
1. COMPLETED
This means the user has done an activity entirely. If there's a score, it shows as a percentage.
2. VERIFIED
This means an instructor has checked and confirmed that an activity is completed.
3. NOT VISIBLE
This means the user can't see an activity because they haven't met certain conditions to view it.
4. MISSED
This refers to a meeting activity in which the instructor confirms that the user did not attend and marks it as completed.
5. NOT COMPLETED YET
This means the user still needs to finish an activity.
6. FAILED
This means the user tried to do an activity but failed.
7. PENDING
This means an activity is partly done and is waiting for further review by a peer or the instructor.
8. LOCKED
This means the user cannot access an activity yet because they still need to meet specific requirements or because it's planned for later.
However, we have also compiled this legend explanation into the instruction icon you will see on the progress page on the left.
(see the screenshot below)
You will see a window explaining all the legends upon clicking this icon.

How does the Progress page work?
On the progress page, at the very left side, you will see the list of learners; the circle will be filling up, showing the student's course progress—how much he has completed and how much is left.
After that, you will see each student's progress in each course element. As you can see in the screenshot below,
For activities
Once the student completes the activity, all the progress pages are updated automatically. This includes all the elements: content, video, embedding, discussion, checklist certificate, tags, and DataCamp.
For assessments
The assessments work the same way. Multiple-choice Quizzes are assessed automatically, and the result is issued and displayed on the progress page; for submissions, peer reviews, peer discussion, polls, self-reviews, feedback reflection, and instructor reviews, it says COMPLETED. When the instructor reviews them or checks them, he can mark them as VERIFIED.
For meeting link
The instructor must manually update the progress page for the Meeting Link to determine whether the learners attended the event.
For zoom meetings
However, for Zoom meetings, we allow automatic reporting that will keep track of all the data and update the progress page. However, this will only work if all of your learners connect their Zoom account with Teachfloor. They can do it by going to their account settings on Teachfloor. Read this article to learn more about it.
How do you manually update the learner's progress?
However, you can also update them manually. Just click on any element's status of the learner, and you will see the drop-down options to select from.
How do you filter the progress page?
There are three types of filters to filter the progress page. You can see them on the right side of the page.
All
It will show all the elements of the course
Activities
It will only show the progress of the course activities of each student
Assessments
It will only show the progress of the course assessments of each student
Moreover, you can also search the progress of each learner by its name by typing the learner's name on the search at the top right corner of the progress page.
Export Feature - Only available in Business and Advanced plans.
You can export the progress of all the learners by clicking on this export button. The progress report will be sent to your email.
When clicking on it, you will see a notification like this at the bottom right corner. After that, you will receive the progress report on your email.
That was the brief tour of the Progress page. I hope you enjoyed it and find this guide helpful!
