Both elements assess the learners in totally different ways. Let's delve into the differences between Peer Review and Peer Discussion.

How does Peer Discussion work?

1. Peer discussion works like a discussion board, as seen in the image above.

2. To access the chat as you can see above, one of the learners will have to comment, and that first comment will be shown in the yellow box as you can see below;

3. Moreover, instructors and assistants can join the discussion and provide assistance and feedback. Students and team members can also upload media to make the discussion chat more engaging.

How does Peer Review work?

1. Peer review uses rubric questions. In peer review, learners must answer certain questions to review the work of the other learner.

2. Instructors or assistants can not participate in it. However, they can control it by selecting the question.

3. It is less engaging, but more accurate and to the point.
